Republicans Welcome King's Words
(Rec. 12.30.) CAPETOWN. May IG. Tliq Republican Afrikaans newspaper Die Burger, commenting on the King’s statement at the Guildhall on Thursday that Britain might help South Africa in future decisions, provided Britain's cooperation was based on knowledge, said: "These are words from the head of the British Slate which we can welcome as a departure from what we heard from London lecently. “The words are a correction to those in Britain who have showjn a disposition to solve our colour problems, for us with comments that revealed more ignorance than knowledge.”
