Level Of Lakes
The rise of 6in. in the level of Lake Waikaremoana since Friday was not due either to rain or the conservation of power, according to an official of the State Hydro-Electric Department, who said yesterday that, more water was drawn from Lake Taupo to speed the filling of the Karapiro lake.
