North Champs To Be Revived

The Northland provincial championship and handicap tournament, the most popular tennis event in the North prior to the war, is to be revived this year. The Northland Lawn Tennis ‘Association has decid'd to stage the major event at Whangarei at Easter.* In pre-war days leading lights, such as Jack Gunn. Rodney Smith, B. Brown, G. Litherland and Misses Pam Cooke (now Mrs R. W. Smith) and J. Ramsay were regular competitors.
