The New Zealand 440yds and 880yds champion runner. Doug Harris accepted today a tentative invitation to compete in the New South Wales amateur track championships at Sydney at Easter.
Harris made one proviso when advised of the invitation—he would, if his trainer, Sergeant Beamish, was permitted to accompany him.
He considers at least half of the trainer's fare should be paid.
