The following appoinlments of Northland teachers were authorised by the Auckland Education Board at its meeting yesterday: Head teachers: Mr H. D. Thompson (formerly headmaster a; Hikurangi), Mount A'bprt. Infant mistresses: Miss M. M. Ilyland, Moerewa. Assistant masters: Mr T. M. McKoy, Whau Valley; Mr F. W. Batchelor Cook, Dargaville District High. Assistant mistresses: Miss E. J. Brown, Totara North; Miss J. B. Matthews, Kamo; Miss N. M. Woodcock, Maunu; Miss L. J. McMillan, Portland. Additional assistants: Miss P. M. McKay, Dargaville District High, physical education specialist: Mr I. E. Wyait, Kaikohe, physical education specialist; Miss H. F. Finlayson, Whangarei, speech therapist.
