Nurses Form Guard Of Honour
The sight of many uniformed nurses in Whangarei this morning aroused much interest. They had attended the wedding of Sister Joan Solomon, who was in charge of the women’s surgical ward at the Whangarei Hospital. The 14 nurses, all of whom were on the staff of the same institution, formed a guard of honour for the popular siser as she and her husband, Mr Edward Allan, of Whangarei, descended the steps of St Francis Xavier’s Church. Sister Allan did her training at the Whangarei Hospital.
