Ex-Airman Loses £209 In Notes
(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day. . A visitor to Auckland (Mr R. H. Shewan) yesterday reported the loss of £209 in notes. A returned airman, he> said he met two men who professed to know places in Canada and the United States he visited while he was on active service and he spent a considerable time in their company on Thursday. He was carrying the money in a satchel strapped to his wrist, and he did not notice that the satchel was empty until he had occasion to open it yesterday morning at the boarding house where he is staying.
