£250 fine For Bookies
(FA.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. Convicted lor bookmaking, Jarncs Meyer Ford and Robert John Timpany were each fined £250 in the Magistrate’s Court. Both had previous convictions. The police evidence showed .that when the defendants’ premises were raided last Saturday bets taken totalled almost £IOOO.
