War Officially Over In Canada
(Rec. 1.15 p.m.) OTTAWA. Jan. 7. The Canadian Government has .announced that, for official and legal purposes, December 31, 1946. is to be regarded’ as the date of the end of the Second World War. This announcement enables exservicemen to apply for benefits to which they are entitled one year after the end of the war.
