At a traditional gathering around the stone today, members of the Northern Advocate Welfare Club farewelled Miss Eileen Gilbev who, after being with the firm for seven years, is leaving to get married. Mr Ralph Shaw, on behalf cf the .club, made the presentation of a butter-dish to mark the occasion. Opportunity was also taken to present Mrs E. G. Shepherd, who is leaving the firm after two years’ service, with a sweets-dish.
