Mangonui Challenges For Major Trophies
(Special.) KAITAIA, This Day. Challenges for Northland’s three major Rugby football trophies are to be entered by the Mangonui Rugby Union this season.
These are the Harding, Brake and Powell shields for senior, junior and third grades respectively. This was decided upon by a meeting of the union's management committee this week when the president (Mr J. Cowie) presided. Mr Moses Yates was nominated as selector for the North Auckland northern zone, while Mr JL K. Boyd was appointed Mangonui’s manager and selector for the third-grade representative team.
