Y.W.C.A. Schoolgirls To Visit Kawau

Between 40 and 50 schoolgirl members of tiie Whangarei branch of the Y.W.C.A. will leave here on Monday for a fortnight’s camp at KaWau. The party, which will be under the charge of the general secretary (Miss F. Aldridge),' will join forces with a similar number of members of the Hamilton branch of the association.

An attractive programme of entertainment has been arranged for the girls, who will be accommodated under canvas.

Among their activities will be launch trips, fishing excursions, archery competitions, and visits to all points of interest on the island and in its vicinity. Four rowing boats from Whangarei will be at the girls’ disposal.

Returning from Kawau tomorrow is a party of members of the Whangarei Business Girls’ Club, which, with Miss Aldridge in charge, has been spending 10 days at the island.'
