Thriller-Comedy At Plaza
Thrills and laughs are combined in the feature show at the Plaza, "A Gentle Gangster.” Twenty years previously, Mike Hallit. (Barton Mac Lane) was a big-time gangster in the city. He ran a popular speakeasy, the vocalist of which was Ann, his wife. The pair reform, retire and become respected and prominent citizens. THeir:! son, Jerry, grows up and when a young man becomes involved with a no-' toridus gambler. The old-time racketeer decides that the town needs purifying and the story tells how he starts on his purge. A modernistic comedy “You Can’t Ration Love” is the supporting attraction.
