Woman Dies After Car Skids Into Pole
(Special.) AUCKLAND, This Day. A young woman died in the Auckland Hospital yesterday afternoon from injuries she received when the motorcar in which she was ■ a passenger skidded and collided with a power pole outside the Dilworth School, Great South Road, early yesterday morning. She was:Mrs Margaret Ngaire Wakefield, aged 26, of 12 St. Stephen’s Avenue, Parnell. It is not known what caused the vehicle to skid. Mrs Wakefield received severe head injuries and lacerations. An operation was performed yestei'day morning, and her death occurred shortly after 2 p.m.
