Jesuit Rector Detained
MILAN, Dec. 19 The Italian police detained the rector of a Jesuit convent after the escape of a man believed to be Carlo Scorza, former secretary of the Fascist Party.
The deputy-chief of police in Milan said a man dressed in monk’s habit was arrested on Saturday on the suspicion that he was Scorza, but was released after the rector assured the police that it was a case of mistaken Identity. Photograps later indicated that the man actually was Scorza, but b}’ then he had escaped. The deputy-chief of police addeiij. that the rector had turned himself over to the police spontaneously; it had not yet been decided whether a charge would be made against him.
