W.D.F.U. ENTERTAINMENT

Last Tuesday the Puwera W.D.F.U. members entertained all district parents and children at a Christmas party in the Otaika Mali. An attractively decorated Christmas tree, hung with a present for fevery child in the district of school age or under, was the chief feature in the decorations. The luncheon, of sandwiches, fancy cakes dainties, supplemented with soft drinks, was a heart’s delight to a party of well over 100 children. Refreshments followed for a large attendance of parents.

Dlifxrig the afternoon the school children presented a programme, at tile conclusion of which Mrs.’ R. W. Gunson presented the children’s gifts, and ice-creams, were, distributed to ail. Members of the W.D.F.U. concluded the entertainment with the singing of the Women’s Division song. As a result of the dance held in Otaika Hall last Friday evening, the fUrids for the Takahiwai Memorial Hall benefited to the extent of £22.
