World Tour By Air

LONDON, Dec. 19 After a 36-days round the world flight in a Lancastrian covering a distance of 34,000 miles, Air Vice Marshal A. L. Fiddament, Senior Air Staff Officer, Transport Command, arrived at Blackbush aerodrome, Camberly.

He said no new record was made but it was the first time any plane had made such a trip without special arrangement for spares and servicing, "I believe, as a result of the tour, that the whole set-up of Transport Command throughout the world will be improved,” he said.
