Burned To Death On Eve Of Marriage

(Special) TAUMARUNUI, This Day. A man who was to have been married today met his death early yesterdav morning. He was: Mr." Ronald Henry Murcott, aged 21, mill hand.

Mr. Murcott was pumping a petrol lamp in the kitchen of his parents’ home at National Park when the lamp exploded. Flames caught his clothing and he ran outside. Mr. John Walker, a neighbour, who saw the flare, went to his assistance, rolling him twice in the grass and removing his < burning clothes.

Mr. Murcott received first-aid and was taken to the Taumarunui Hospital, where he died early yesterday morning.

At an inquest before Mr. W. Thomas, district coroner .the verdict was death from shock, following extensive burns
