NO BRITISH ARMS FOR SPAIN
(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) LONDON. Dec. 19 The Government had decided to prohibit , the export to Spain not only of arms, but also goods of a semi-military character which might strengthen the Spanish armed forces, said the Minister for State (Mr. P. Noel Baker) in the House of Commons. He added that no armaments or warlike stores had been supplied from Britain to Spain since the .outbreak of the Spanish civil war.
