Week-End Scout Camp
The First Whangarei Scout Troop held a well-attended camp at Totara Park at the week-end. On Saturday afternoon the Cub Mistress (Miss B. Cleary) took a party of Cubs out to the camp and six of the boys were initiated as Scouts. A number of Sea Rangers also visited the camp and were entertained to tea by the Scouts. In the past few week-ends Scouts have been going out to the site and have constructed a shed for accommodating gear. They have also built a natural swimming pool.
