“Citizen of the World” claims to have followed with interest various points of view put forward by residents and the Whangarei Bor-
ELECTRICITY ISSUE
ough Council. Ho hasn’t heard anything yet. All the argu-
ments for the purchase of the council’s electrical undertaking have come from the power board. The statement that Whangarei exists and prospers by virtue of the surrounding country is quite correct, but does not Auckland prosper on the surrounding provincial areas, including Whangarei and Northland, too. Whangarei Borough has put more into Northland than any power board.

JONES.
