New Charges Scale For Town Hall Hire

New scale of charges fGr the use of the Whangarei Town Hall was approved by the Borough Council on Tuesday on the recommendation of- its property committee. The new scale will coni" into force from November 1. The town clerk (Mr. L O. Hall) reported that costs were as follow: —Interest and sinking fund charges. £569; depreciation charges, £183; lighting and electrical repairs. £150; insurance. £ ICO; wages and maintenance, £1200: increased wages charges irom April 1. £100; total cost. £2.302, less rents and cleaning municipal buildings. £1145, leaving £1157.
