Submarine V.C. Here
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Lieutenant P. S. W. Roberts, V.C., R.N., who won the award with PettyCfficer Gould on the submarine Thrasher in the Mediterranean in February. 1942, arrived in the Orion. The Thrasher was struck by a bomb, which lodged in the casing of the submarine but did not explode, and Roberts and Gould removed it, not knowing when it might go off.
