600 Former Prisoners Still In England

(Special.) LONDON, Sept. 3. The number of former New Zealand Expeditionary Force prisoners of war now remaining in England totals roughly 600. This includes 96 hospital cases, many of which are cases of normal sickness, and also men on educational attachments. The majority will leave for New Zealand some time this month. Those remaining will be completing their educational courses. The name of the ship and the date of sailing are not yet known. Six hundred former prisoners of war sailed for home last week in the Dominion Monarch. Both the Fernleaf and New Zealand Forces Clubs in London are to remain in operation until practically all the New Zealanders in Britain are repatriated. Although few soldiers are remaining here, there are a substantial number of airmen and sailors who will continue to be catered for.
