Tait - Knight
The marriage of Miss Coralie Blodwen Knight, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Knight, of Blockhouse Bay, to Leading-Aircraftman Graham Alexander Tait, R.N.Z.A.F. (late of Whar garei), elder son of Mrs L. Tait, of Parnell, took place at the bride’s home, “Pine Ridge," Mitchell Street, Blockhouse Bay, last week. The Rev. J. H. G. Chappie performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a gown of magnolia satin made with a tight-fitting bodice, full, long sleeves and a full skirt with a short train. Her veil was held in place with a topknot of violets, and she carried a bouquet of daffodils, blue irises , and violets. The bridesmaid, Miss Jean Luketina, wore a frock of white figured organdie made with a bouffant skirt. She carried a bouquet of daphne and violets and wore the same flowers in her hair.
Corporal Noel Turner, R.N.Z.A.F was best man.
The reception was attended only by relatives and close friends. Mrs Knight received her guests in a black and gold ensemble. Mrs Tait wore a fur ccat'over a brown frock.
