(Five Required) MR. WILLIAM BOSWELL. A sitting member of the board for throe years he has also been a member of the Kamo School Committe for six years. For someyears Mr; Boswell has been employed as a winchman at the Kamo Collieries. MR. GORDON M. G. ELLIOTT. Mr. Elliott is a ne\v aspirant. Born at Kamo, he was educated at the Kamo primary and Whangarei High Schools. Since leaving school he has been engaged in the stock and station agents’ business. A keen tennis player and Rugby coach. MR. JOHN FREW.—Contesting a civic position for the first time, Mr. Frew has been in business in Kamo for the past nine years as a general storekeeper, having resided there for the past 15 years. Born in Scotland he arrived in New Zealand in 1926 and has taken an interest in and played tennis and golf. MR. ERIC N. J. HOOPER.—Employed in the Kamo Collieries, and a resident of the Kamo district for 30 years, Mr. Hooper is making his entry into public life. He is a member of the Kamo School Committee, and is in charge of the Kamo patriotic baby committee. He was a representative Rugby and League player for many years; educated at Kamo Primary and Whangarei High Schools. MR. CHAS. 8,. KERR.—A life-long resident of the district, he has served for a lengthy term on the board and is seeking re-election. Bern at Kamo, his father was the manager of the old Kamo mine. Mr. Kerr has identified himself with all local activities, MR. JOB MAKINSON.—For six years a member of the Kamo Town Board, Mr. Makinscn has been three years its chairman. He is also chairman of the Kamo patriotic committee. ' He has had considerable experience in coal mining and was for 7‘/ 2 years manager of the Hikurangi Coal Company; manager of tire Kamo Collieries. Ltd. Also candidate for N.A. Power and Whangarei Hospital Boards.

MR. ERNEST S. SMITH.—Last year he was appointed to replace the late Mr. Murdoch Mclnnes on the board., For several years Mr. Smith has been, a member of the Kamo School Committee; has beta l , in the butchery business seven years.

MR. WILLAM J. THORBURN.—Son of a pioneering famiy at Kamo, Mr. Thorburn was born at Otaikarangi, and has been engaged in mixed farming all his life with the exception of about five years road contracting. Has been on school and hall committees and was chairman of the patriotic committee.

MR. NOEL HERBERT WILKINSON.— Has been associated with the bakery business in Kamo since 1906. Mr. Wilkinson is seeking his second term on the town board. He was lieutenant in command of No. 12 Kamo platoon, C. Coy. of the Home Guard. He was president of the Kamo Rugby League Club. Has seaside cottage at Taurikura; candidate for Whangarei Harbour Boaid.
