(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Governor-General (Sir Cyril Newall) has announced that His Majesty the King has approved the following immediate operational awards to personnel of the 2/N.Z.E.F. in recognition of gallant and distinguished service during operations.. in lire South l’aciUe area:—

Strttinius. —The United States Assist-ant-Secretary of State (Air. Su'Uinius) has had conversations with (he Minister for State (Mr. Richard Law) and the Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign Office (Sir Alexander Cadogan). Afterwards Mr. StetUrdus and members of his party were entertained at luncheon by Sir Alexander.
