Rationing Committees
(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day. A food rationing committee has been formed in Auckland following instructions from the Government to set up such bodies all over the Dominion. The main ..function of the committee is to assist rationing officers in administering the Food Rationing Regulations and will deal with all applications for increased allowances. Each district will have consumer members appointed by branches of the Labour Party, Women’s Institute, and Chamber of Commerce. There will also be associate members representing grocers, butchers, licensed victuallers, restaurants and the Shop Assistants’ Union.
