j Formation in Northland of sttbI branches of the Home Services’ Association is mooted as an outcome of a report presented to the Northland branch by the president (Mr F. McDermott) and Mr N. H. Farrell, who were appointed as a sub-committee to investigate this question. The sub-eommittee reported to the executive, that suit-branches should be formed in Whangarei, Maungatu-roto-Paonroa, Dargaville, Kaikohe, Rawene-Kohukohu. Kaeo and Kaitaia. all to be affiliated with the Northland branch. Holding of meetings in the various centres for this purpose was also' recommended, and the sub-com-mittee was asked to report to the next meeting its recommendations regarding meetings. The secretary (Mr L. A. Johnson) was instructed to write to headquarters for information concerning the activities of the organisation and issue of badges and urging clarification of various questions as soon as possible. It was decided to hold a general meeting on April 14 to report progress to members and also to hold monthly meetings of the executive.
