Plan For Second Civic Reception At Kaitaia

The attention of all Mangonui ser- | vicemen and women who returned with I the second furlough draft, or who have I returned home since the first draft | was welcomed, in July. 1943. is directed to the programme outlined for the civic reception to be held ,in Kaitaia on Saturday, March 18. Kerridge Theatres Ltd. have given the use of their theatre for a free matinee from 12.30 to 2 p.m. At 2.5 servicemen and women are asked to fall in at the post office, whence they will march to the theatre, where a civic reception will be held at 2.30. At the A.N.A. canteen, light refreshments will be free to each serviceman and three friends from noon onwards. Others of the public who wish it may be catered for at a small cost.

Transport costs are met for each serviceman and one friend where buses are used. All sports fields will be open from 3 p.m. onwards for any visitor, and in the evening, at 6.30. the R.S.A. have planned a dinner for exservicemen only.

The reception is to be completed at night with a dance in the A. and P. hall. This is free to any .serviceman and three friends.
