Pamapuria Holds Successful Sports
Pamapuria held a monster sports meeting last Saturday, the proceeds in aid of patriotic funds. The amount raised was £72 net. The attendance was between 500 and GOO, so the results are not in doubt. Fine weather up to 4.30 p.m. allowed the major proportion of the programme to be got through under good conditions. The committee worked hard and are to be congratulated cn the success of the day. Apart from the sports, the kapa Maori was well patronised, and with no meat coupons required it was the answer to many a housewife’s worries for the day.
