HIKURANGI RED CROSS At the monthly afternoon of the Red Cross Society, hold in the Parish Hall on September i 4, it was decided to adopt two prisoners of war, who do not receive a. next-of-kin parcel. Ten pounds towards the fund was received from an anonymous donor, and £1 from Mr. S. Pearson. Acknowledgments . were received from the Rotorua Military Hospital for the society’s gift of £2l for soldier’s therapy classes, and from the Centre Red Cross for the donation of £5 to the Turkish Rod Cross, and £f> to the. Chinese Red Cross.
A donation of £ls/17/6 from the Women's Institute, TTikurangi, was specially ear-marked to the Welcome Home Fund. A' “bring and buy” stall was well patronised.
