De Valera Looks Ahead
DUBLIN, Sept. 29
De Valera, speaking at a Fianna Fail convention, said: “We have asserted our right to remain out of this war. There are a number of people who do not like that attitude and we must look ahead to the time when efforts may be made to penalise us for taking it.” The convention passed a resolution that abolition of partition should be the first plank of the Government’s post-war policy.
