Whangarei Air Cadet Gains Wings
First Whangarei A.T.C. cadet to gain his wings in the Royal New Zealand Air Force is Sergeant-Pilot Charles M. Stevens, aged 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. K M. Stevens, of Maungatap.ere. Serving for pnl.v six months iiy the Whangarei A.T.C., from March, 1942, to September, 1942, when he was called into the air force, Sergeant-Pilot Stevens did most of his training in New Zealand, but in April of this year he was transferred to Canada where he gained his wings.
