Mussolini Operated On For Liver Trouble
NEW YORK, Sept. 24.
Mussolini has just been operated upon in a Vienna clinic for chronic liver tumor, according to a diplomatic source, the Stockholm correspondent of the “New York Times”.
Mussolini is extremely run down and only a shadow of his former self. Leading Nazis it is reported, despair of getting more out of him other than the propoganda value of his name. The Germans retouched photographs of his recent meeting with Hitler before their release.
