Maungakaramea
An evening party in honour of Gunner A. R. Peers-Adams, who is home on short furlough, was held at the residence of Mrs. Crawford. Games, competitions and music formed an interesting programme with an interval for supper. Competitions were- won by Harry Goer, Miss L. Thompson and lan Crawford. Airs. Allcock has returned home after an extended holiday at Thames, Cambridge and Auckland. Mrs. Telford is home after many weeks in hospital. Saturday night socials wore resumed on August 21. Cards, games and a few dances, with supper, combined to make a pleasant evening. Personal Miss Lyall Telfer, of the Auckland Teachers' Training College, is spending her holidays with her parents. Mrs. S. Litr. is visiting Mrs. G. Prescott, of Ruakaka. Miss Williams has returned to her father’s home for the school vacation. Master K. Macpherson is the guest of Master Bruce Winnard during the holidays. Pte. Percy Marsh has been invalided home from the Middle East.
