Meat Grading Postponed
(PA) WELLINGTON, This Day. With reference to an amendment to the Board of Trade Meat Grading Regulations gazetted last week the Minister for Industries and Commerce (Mr. Sullivan) said today the effect, was to postpone operation of the principal regulations until November 15 next in response to representations made by master butchers on account of seasonal trade difficulties. Ihe Government said the Minister, had no desiie to aggravate these difficulties and had agreed to postponement. It was hoped, in the interim, to train sufficient graders to enable grading and marking to be put into effect in all abattoir districts simultaneously.
