(Received 3 p.m.) (8.0. W.) RUGBY, August 23. Some indication of what has beei\ going on at the Citadel at Quebec was given tonight by the British Information Minister (Mr. Brendan Bracken). He said a decision of the utmost importance had been taken. “There /was a luncheon at the Citadel today,” he said. “It was not a social luncheon, but a military one—a meeting to decide important points about strategy in the Pacific,” he said.

Mr. Roosevelt and Mr. Churchill were there as well as the Chinese Foreign Minister (Dr. Soong) .and Mr. Harry Hopkins. The meeting was of very great importance, and, in years to come, Quebec would be famous for the discussions that had taken place. He said he was going to Washington shortly. As far as Mr. Churchill’s movements were concerned, Mr. Bracken said: “There is a rumour about the place to which the Prime Minister is going, but' I can say the Prime Minister is going to do a little fishing about the Quebec conference.”
