(Received 3 p.m.) (8.0. W.) RUGBY, August 23. Some indication of what has beei\ going on at the Citadel at Quebec was given tonight by the British Information Minister (Mr. Brendan Bracken). He said a decision of the utmost importance had been taken. “There /was a luncheon at the Citadel today,” he said. “It was not a social luncheon, but a military one—a meeting to decide important points about strategy in the Pacific,” he said.
Mr. Roosevelt and Mr. Churchill were there as well as the Chinese Foreign Minister (Dr. Soong) .and Mr. Harry Hopkins. The meeting was of very great importance, and, in years to come, Quebec would be famous for the discussions that had taken place. He said he was going to Washington shortly.
