Russians Say “GoodBye To The Boc he"
(Received 3.30 p.m.) (8.0. W.) RUGBY. August 23 Plans are announced for a vast Soviet reconstruction scheme, extending from Kalinin in the north to Rostov in the Caucasus for territories already liberated. Peasants are beginning a long trek back to their homes, with cattle and farm implements, and by October it is expected that hundreds of thousands of cattle will be back on the farms. Agricultural experts are to assist in restoring farms, and special factories are turning out mass materials. More than a hundred railway stations are to be built by January 1. including those at Rjev and Rostov. These are some of the measures (which indicate Russian confidence that the Germans will never return to the liberated regions.
