Suggest Solutions Of Greatest Menace

(PA.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The dangers of a declining population were stressed by the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) today, when he received a depulalien from the Dominion Settlement Association. The deputation asked for an immediate investigation of the proposal to bring to New Zealand war orphans from Europe, and for the setting-up of a commission to make a long-range survey of organised immigration possibilities. The deputation also suggested taxation exemption to encourage larger families, as immigration was only a temporary expedient.'
