U.S, Plan For International Stabilisation Fund

Principal alterations to the Treasury s revised draft of the International Stabilisation Fund provide for flexibility o, exchange rates during the first three poslU The* new draft embodies suggestions made by experts of 30 United Nations. Nevertheless, agreement on the compromise plan is nor yet reached. It will be the subject of a conference in Chicago next week, to which the British Government has nominated a representative. The compromise plan closely resembles the Canadian plan, but added significance is given lo gold and to continued rejection of the volume of international trade as the principal determinant of voting power in the proposed body. The revised plan resembles the Canadian proposals which, like the American, but unlike the British plan provided foi an international exchange fund, whoso principal resources would be derived from capital subscriptions of member countries,
