Labour For Harvesting
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A definite assurance to farmers that labour would be made available for harvesting of next season’s crops was given by the Minister for Agriculture (Mr. Barclay) in a statement last night on the matter. He said that, recognising the vital necessity of obtaining maximum production, the Government had definitely undertaken .to ensure that requisite men will be made available when necessary to ensure that all crops will be harvested. With this assurance, he felt confident that farmers would do their utmost to meet the increased food demands made.”
