Bride Disappears Mysteriously
(Rec. 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Australian and New Zealand police are enquiring' into the disappearance of a young Auckland bride named Turner. Since her Auckland marriage nearly a year ago, all efforts to trace her or her ausband have failed. She is said to have /.old a property for £IOOO just before she was married.
After a fashionable wedding, the girl is reported to have left for Sydney, but the oolice there can find no trace of her arrival in Australia. Since the woman’smarriage mysterious messages have been received by her parents stating that she was drowned after the ship on which she was travelling had been torpedoed. The oclice here doubt whether she ever left New Zealand, and are positive she is not ,n Australia.
