Australian-Made Motor Patrol Boats
SYDNEY. This Day. Naval motor patrol boats used extensively for anti-submarine work are being built in Australia. The Minister for the Navy (Mr Makin) says that these speedy craft, which are very manoeuvrable and seaworthy, are being built of Australian timbers by Australian workmen. Each boat carries a crew of 14 men with two officers. There are 100 similar craft on duty around the coasts of Great Britain.
