WHANGAREI CLUB The flag match played at the Whangarei Golf Club links over the week-end resulted in a win for H. Wilson, who, with G. Gilchrist, carried the flag to the 17th fairway. WHAU VALLEY CLUB Ladies.—The three best scores in the first round of the Settlers’ Cup were: Mrs. Davis, 94—22—72; Mrs. Snow, 94—19—75; Mrs. Arneil, 94 —17 —77. Men.—The first round of the Spalding Cup resulted: Joll beat Heape; Carr .beat Going; Georgeson beat Dawson; Dallas beat Snow; Wilkinson beat Olliver; Adams beat Frew; Lovegrove beat Monk; Cantlon beat Courtney. Best medal round: H. Jull, 100—24—76; O. Georgeson, 88—11—77; N. Walker, 97—19—78. Next Saturday there will be a men v. ladies match.
