U.S. Steel Drive
(8.0. W., 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, June 27. A drive aimed at the production of an additional supply of 2,000,000 tons of steel during the last half of 1943 has been announced by the chairman of the United States War Production Board (Mr. Donald Nelson). The War Production Board estimates that successful completion of this goal will mean attainment of this year’s munitions’ production goals and “perhaps the eventual shortening of the war.”
