Moerewa Stock Sale
Walter Wakelin, Limited, report having held a sale at Moerewa on Tuesday, when an entry of 400 head of cattle was submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was good and practically a total clearance resulted.
Following are prices realised: —Springing cows, £4/10/- to £7/10/-; springing heifers, £4 to £6/5/-; fat cows, £4/10/to £6/3/-; four-year bullocks, to £B/1/-; three-vear steers, £6/6/- to £7/10/-; twovear steers, £4/12/- to £6; yearling steers, £2/10/- to £4; Hereford run cows, to £4/3/-; cows and calves, £2/15/- to £6/10/-; boner cows, £2 to £4; potter cows, 10/- to £l/15/-; boner bulls, £3/10/to £6/12/6; Jersey heifer calves, £l/15/to £3/5/-; yearling S.H. heifers, £l/10/ to £2/6/-; 18-month S.H. heifers, £2/15/to £4; vealers, £3/5/- to £4; small store wethers, £l.
