Anzac Food Supplies Evatt In America
WASHINGTON,
April 3.
Australia and New Zealand will supply the American forces in 1943 with five times the 1942 quantity of vegetables, meat and, other foods under reciprocal Lend-Lease, states the Office for War Information. On a population basis, both have contributed nearly nine pounds of fruits and vegetables per head in 1942 compared with United States shipments of similar foods to all areas of four pounds per head.
