Britain Mobilised More Than Any Other Nation
LONDON. March G Lord Ince speaking in London, said that there was no doubt that Britain had mobilised to a greater degree than .any nation -in the world. He paid special tribute to the women for the extent t< which they had taken their places in ail industries and services of the country. Lord Ince said that registrations under the National Service Act and employment order amounted to about 18,000.000 men and women. With the additional registration of boys and girls, special industrial registrations and registrations for fire prevention duties, the Ministry for Labour had been called on to register no fewer than 25000.000 persons since the outbreak of war. The fact that mobilisation had reached such a high degree did not mean that they cculd now sit back: the big call-up for the forces
