Former Spanish Foreign Minister At Washington
WASHINGTON, March 7.
The "New York Times” says that the former Spanish Foreign Minister (Juan Beigbeder) has arrived in America.
The Assistant Secretary for State ‘Mr. Sumner Welles) explained that he came solely at the initiative of the Spanish Government and at no initiative whatever of White House. Diplomats say it is not a diplomatic mission, but that he has come for private and military reasons involving first-hand study of American affairs and the war effort.
